OUR BACKGROUND

The Clare Family Resource Centre Ltd is a voluntary organisation with charitable status which has been in existence since 1993. The start-up of the Centre was motivated by a concern to meet the growing demand for childcare facilities and particularly by the need to cater for those who are not in a financial position to avail of the services provided by the private sector. The Clare Family Resource Centre was the first community childcare centre in Co. Clare. The Centre has a voluntary Board of Directors consisting of members of the community, staff and parents. We are an equal opportunities employer/centre and our staff and services users reflect all sections of the community.

SPECIAL NEEDS

We currently provide places for four children with special educational needs. All staff receive special educational needs training. In our new building we have a fully equipped Special Needs Multi-Sensory / Exercise Room which can also be used by all the children.

Childcare Assistant

Eligibility: Must Be Eligible for a FAS Community Employment Scheme. Garda clearance will be sought by the Centre for the successful applicant prior to taking up the post.

Duties: Caring for children aged 3 Months to 10 Years and assisting with the day to day running of a busy Childcare Centre.

We are pleased to annouce that our new FETAC Level 5 Childcare Training Course, taught from a Waldorf perspective begins on February 17th at the Clare Training Resource Centre. This one year, part time course is Ireland's first FETAC Level 5 Childcare course that emphasizes the Steiner Waldorf approach to working with the young child, the fastest growing education impulse in the world today.
